Infodynamics
Exploring how information can describe indeterminacy and transformation in physical systems, from spray distributions to flow architectures.
I’m Miguel Panão, a researcher exploring fluid mechanics, thermal systems, and the information hidden in complex physical phenomena.

From the movement of a single droplet to the design of branching flow networks, my work connects experiments, models, and information theory to better understand thermofluid systems.
Exploring how information can describe indeterminacy and transformation in physical systems, from spray distributions to flow architectures.
Studying atomization, droplet impact, aerosols, and the measurements that reveal the physics of complex flows.
Investigating heat transfer, photophoresis, and constructal approaches to the design of more effective flow and cooling systems.
Infodynamics offers a way to examine how information behaves and changes as a system develops. In my research, it provides another lens through which to study the diversity and transformation of flow structures and droplet distributions.
